Engage

21st Century

As Church members we want our lives to Count for God in the new millennium. As we set ourselves, by God’s grace, to seek first his Kingdom (1) we recommit ourselves to: -

1. ENGAGE IN WORSHIP THAT COUNTS: -
Preparing ourselves to participate thoughtfully in worship each Sunday, enjoying God’s presence and, in all we do, seeking to glorify him. (2)

2. ENGAGE IN PRAYER AND BIBLE READING THAT COUNTS: -
Recognizing that without Christ and the power and guidance of his spirit we cannot accomplish anything (3), we commit ourselves to learning to pray (4) and reading God’s word. (5)

3. ENGAGE IN CHURCH LIFE SO AS TO COUNT: -
Understanding that the Church is a body that is made up of many parts, we dedicate ourselves to participating fully in, and supporting, the life of the body of Christ in everyway we can – giving of our care, time, talent, energy and wealth for the work of his kingdom. (6)

4. ENGAGE WITH THOSE AROUND US SO THAT OUR LIVES COUNT: -
Giving thanks to God that the Christian faith has always made a difference, not just in the lives of those who believe, but in the lives of those around about who are touched by the love of Christ through them. We commit ourselves to sharing Christ’s love by all that we say, (7) and do, (8) and are, (9) each day

May GOD help us to COUNT for him in our generation. Amen.
