Dear
Parishioner
I want to begin this
letter by thanking you for your prayerful support for the work of God at Holy
Trinity over the past ten years. Since
the church opened in December 1992 God has richly blessed the congregation.
Numerically we have seen all the organisations grow and the Sunday
morning congregation now exceeds 250 people.
At the morning service (10.30am) on Sunday 16th March 2003 I
will be sharing with the church family the God given vision for the Lords
work at Holy Trinity. Part of that
vision will be to see the building extended and equipped to meet the
requirements of a growing 21st Century church.
It is hoped (DV) that the extension work will begin in May 2003 and be
completed by October 2003. The
estimated cost of the project will be £500,000 (and maybe more).
This cost will have to be met from within the parish family, hence the
reason for this letter. I am
inviting you to be present at that service to hear what God is asking us to do.
I am asking you, along with all the parish family, to prayerfully
consider how you can help make this vision a reality.
The primary task for us all is to pray.
Without prayer Holy Trinity would not be here today and God would not
have blessed us as He has. So
please commit this work to God in prayer.
The Select Vestry
then ask you to prayerfully consider what you could financially commit to the
work. There are approximately 300
families connected with Holy Trinity. Every
family is receiving this letter. If
200 families committed £10 per week to the building fund that would realise £104,000
a year. The building project debt
would be tackled by 2009-2010. Some families may be able to commit more, some
less but we ask that all contribute some. The
amount is not what is important but the commitment to giving to the work of God
at Holy Trinity is. Please plan to
be at church on the 16th March to share in this exciting venture.
Included with this
letter is a standing order form. If,
after prayer, you feel you can commit financially to supporting this building
project then fill in the form and put it on the collection plate on Sunday 16th
March or you may still wish to contribute via the Building Fund Envelopes.
Members of the Select Vestry will be at Holy Trinity each evening from
6.45pm to 7.30pm from Monday 17th to Thursday 20th March.
They will have a copy of the proposed plans and will be willing to answer
any queries you might have. In
closing may I thank you again for your prayerful support over the past ten
years. May God continue to bless
you and your family as you worship with us and serve Christ at Holy Trinity.
Yours in Christ,
Alan McCann
I
have completed the standing order form for £
and returned it to my bank.
