Organisations - THE POTTERS HOUSE
Our Aim:
To give all children the opportunity to learn about Jesus,
which will one day lead to them knowing Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and
Saviour.
This is a large Sunday School of some 115 children and is
staffed by 11 teachers and 1 Superintendent. We have three terms, September –
Christmas, New Year – Easter and Easter - Summer
The Junior Sunday School (Pre-school and Primary 1-4) makes
up over half of our numbers and meets from10: 50 hrs to 11:30 hrs each week.
They study scriptural based bible material called Scripture Press, which is
supplied by Kingsway Children’s Ministry in Eastbourne.
The Senior Sunday School (Primary 5-7), meet at the same
time as the juniors. They study scriptural based bible material called
Children’s Ministry, again supplied by Kingsway Ministry.
The Sunday Club is for people who are in first form in
secondary school. It meets on Sunday mornings at 09:45 hrs until 10:15 hrs. They
study the Bible and look at more of what goes on in church each week.
In the Sunday School year we do other things, Christmas is
always a busy time as we have Sunday School parties and the Nativity Play.
We also work on a project, which changes each year, but to
date has always helped third world countries.
In the summer we
always have a trip away for the day before closing with our prize giving.
